It's difficult to find a bad hot dog, but here is the basic scale I use for rating Hot Dogs.
  • 1 - 5.9
    • Nope. I would avoid them.
  • 6 - 6.9
    • Okay. Edible, but nothing special.
  • 7 - 7.9
    • These are good. I could eat these every day.
  • 8 - 8.9
    • Especially good. I will go out for them or wait in a line to be seated or get them.
  • 9 - 9.9
    • Best of the Best. Superior to others. Would make a special trip out for these.

Howard Johnsons - They had foot long, all beef hot dogs on buttered U shaped buns. One of my favorites of all time, wish they were still around.
